For Doctors’ offices to prescribe controlled medications the provider must be enrolled in our EPCS module. Medi-EHR will streamline the enrollment process and assist the provider(s) with every step of the registration and sign-up. This process entails Surescript enrollment, identity verification and 2-step authentication. This process is done over a web call which is approx. 1-2 hours depending on the provider. Please note that the process may take longer depending on the outcome of the ID verification.

SURESCRIPT ENROLLMENT Medi-EHR
will enroll the provider into Surescript’s EPCS so that the medications can be sent to the respective pharmacy.

IDENTITY VERIFICATION
All providers must go through an identity verification in order to prescribe controlled medications.

2-STEP VERIFICATION
A 2-step verification is done through an app on the provider’s phone when the provider enrolls in EPCS. This app can also be set-up on multiple PCs or bowsers using the app’s add-ons.

NEW PRESCRIPTIONS
Create and send new e-prescriptions for controlled medications

REFILL RESPONSES
Electronically receive and send refill requests for controlled medications (note that this is only available for a single enrollment, if the provider is enrolled elsewhere this option will not be available).
